Danko Jones announce exclusive competition in connection with album release
Danko Jones are set to release their latest effort – Rock And Roll Is Black And Blue – in Europe next / this week and the band are giving fans the chance to win something very, very special. The album will be released in three formats – vinyl (of course!), super jewel case and a limited edition digipak. Not only does the digipak feature a bonus track (“In Your Arms”), a couple of stickers and a guitar pick from Dunlop, but anyone purchasing it automatically enters a competition with the ultimate prize for any fan. In ten copies of the digipak lies a gold printed guitar pick and anyone lucky enough to find one will be guaranteed a lifetime of free entry to any Danko Jones headlining shows anywhere across the world. Pretty sweet, huh?
That guest list spot might come in handy as well with tickets for their upcoming European tour selling quickly. A few shows, including the last two on the run in mid-November, are already sold out and we fully expect a majority of them to be by the time doors open.
October 26th / Paris/ Le Trabendo
The first single – Just A Beautiful Day – is currently making waves on radio stations around the globe and a video directed by the Diamond Bros was shot in New York just a few days ago. We will keep you posted on the video but for now we would like to remind you that the single is still available for free download at dankojones.com where you can also find more info on the competition, a full list of tour dates and links to buy the album.
Danko himself is keeping busy as well with the latest episode (#28) of his podcast featuring none other than Henry Rollins. Click on the links below to listen:

Add the DVD (“Bring On The Mountain”) released this summer and the biography (“Too Much Trouble: A Very Oral History of Danko Jones”) set to be released on ECW Press in early October and it makes for a quite an eventful year for both the man and the band. No less than you would expect for an outfit frequently labeled the hardest working band around though.
