Ils sont en train d'enregistrer et promettent quelque chose de surprenant.
Dave Grohl has said that the new Foo Fighters album is different from anything the band have done before.
The band recently revealed that the sessions for their new album are "fucking on" by posting a picture of a row of master tapes labelled 'Foo Fighters LP 8' to their official Instagram.
Commenting on the suggestion that the band are recording with previously unused recording techniques with producers Butch Vig and Steve Albini, Grohl said: "I know what it sounds like and I honestly think the entire concept is really going to take people by surprise and it sounds nuts.
We recorded something the other day that's unlike anything we've ever done and it starts with a fuse and then it explodes."

The new Foo Fighters album will be released this November, it has been revealed, NME reports.
Earlier today new information was revealed about the as-yet-untitled record. Stating that the album is longer than anything they have previously released and may also feature horns for the first time, frontman Dave Grohl says, "Like, I couldn’t just write a three-and-a-half-minute long KROQ jingle and film it for the finale of an episode about the history of music in New Orleans, ya know? We really had to step up what we do. The music is a progression or an evolution for sure, but it’s a Foo Fighters record."
The new album was recorded in eight different studios in eight states across America. It will be accompanied by mini series "Sonic Highways," broadcast on HBO, which will document the recording progress. Grohl will operate as director on the project, following his "Sound City" documentary of 2013.
Opening up further about the "cinematic" sound of the album, Grohl continues: "You'll recognise Foo Fighters in this record but you'll also be surprised by us. We're doing things that we've never done before. Honestly, there are sections of songs that will really take you by surprise." |

According to The Pulse Of Radio, FOO FIGHTERS have finished work on their eighth album, which the band recorded in eight different iconic studios in eight different cities over the past year. Producer Butch Vig tweeted the good news, saying, "We are officially done with the new FOO FIGHTERS album. 23 straight days mixing! IT'S EPIC!!!"
The band laid down the music for the album in cities that have a great musical history and invited local legends to contribute to the sessions as well.
The results have been chronicled in an eight-part documentary series, called "Sonic Highways", that frontman Dave Grohl directed. The series will air on HBO this November.
The FOOs have yet to unveil a title or release date for the new disc, but there is speculation that it will be called "Sonic Highways" as well. |

Additionally, http://sonichighways.foofighters.com/ is now accepting pre-orders for the "Sonic Highways" CD and 180-gram vinyl LP. The vinyl album comes in an assortment of nine different covers including eight variants each themed for one of the cities in which the album was recorded: Austin, Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Seattle, and Washington, D.C.
sonichighways.foofighters.com will be the only place where fans can order the specific cover — or covers — of their choosing. An array of limited-edition bundles featuring exclusive collectibles will also be available.
Produced by Butch Vig and FOO FIGHTERS and being released in the U.S. on Roswell/RCA, "Sonic Highways" clocks in at just over 44 minutes and is made up of the following tracks:
01. Something From Nothing
02. The Feast and The Famine
03. Congregation
04. What Did I Do?/God As My Witness
05. Outside
06. In The Clear
07. Subterranean
08. I Am A River
Though not a soundtrack album by any stretch, "Sonic Highways" shares its title with the Dave Grohl-directed eight-episode HBO series described by Grohl as a love letter to the history of American music and premiering Friday, October 17 at 11 p.m. For the album and series, Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett and Pat Smear wrote and recorded one song in each of these eight cities, delving into the local musical currents: how each region shaped these musicians in their formative years, and in turn the impact those people had on the cultural fabric of their hometowns. All songs feature local legends sitting in, with every lyric written in an unprecedented experimental style: Dave held off on putting down words until the last day of each session, so as to be inspired by the experiences, interviews for the HBO series, and other local personalities who became part of the process.
Ca s'annonce foutrement intéressant. |

D'après ce que j'ai compris il va y avoir une série sur HBO sur l'enregistrement de cet album ou plutôt sur les différents studios où il a été enregistré. Ca peut être sympa. |
