RHAPSODY: NEW FREE SINGLE, NEW VIDEO AND MORE EUROPEAN TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED
RHAPSODY are proud to announce that in the end of the summer / beginning of autumn, their second single CLASH OF THE TITANS will be released online and will be available for everyone FOR FREE !
A real gift made by the band to thank all the people, fans and journalists, who contributed to the great success and the historical chart results obtained by the new album ASCENDING TO INFINITY around the world.
The “virtual” single will include the new song FANTASIA GOTICA, defined by the band as a very original cinematic orchestral ballad of rare emotional impact, and a new great video realized by the Swedish video director Owe Lingvall of DREAMDAY MEDIA (U2, The Rasmus) right for the song CLASH OF THE TITANS. The location chosen for the shooting of the new video was New York and the talented video director has no doubts: “The visual impact of the new video will underline once more the strong link between Rhapsody and the world of movies”.
Meanwhile, eleven more dates have been added to the European leg of the ASCENDING TO INFINITY CINEMATIC WORLD TOUR.

“We are working with our friend Owe Lingvall to present a new generation of shows on our upcoming tour” states Dominique, guitar player of the band. And adds: “The songs of the new album, the legendary hits of the first albums, some of those old glorious Rhapsody songs never or rarely played until now, a couple of surprises from the solo releases of Luca Turilli: the great variety of the setlist is surely guaranteed and we will offer music for all tastes!”. Alex Landenburg, the new drummer, adds: “The collaboration with DREAMDAY MEDIA and the use of video projection will set a new standard for our shows in this and in the future tours. But this is not everything as many more exciting surprises are waiting for you. Therefore be ready to live an intense emotional experience and see you soon to spend some great and unique cinematic evenings together!”
While many more European dates will be announced in the next weeks together with the names of the bands who will join Rhapsody on their CINEMATIC WORLD TOUR, the following is the list of the 23 dates already confirmed by the tour agency ROCK THE NATION (www.rtn-touring.com) until now:

Italian "cinematic" metallers LUCA TURILLI'S RHAPSODY have announced the special guests of the European leg of their "Ascending To Infinity Cinematic World Tour 2012": FREEDOM CALL and ORDEN OGAN from Germany and VEXILLUM from Italy.
"We worked with the tour agency Rock The Nation to offer to the people a great package with four amazing bands. Now here it is," says LUCA TURILLI'S RHAPSODY singer Alessandro Conti. Ca fait deux fois que je tente de l'écouter et deux fois que j'arrête au bout du deuxième titre. Ca n'est pas dans mes habitudes mais la voix et la façon de chanter du nouveau y est pour beaucoup.
Prochaine lecture en aléatoire, avec un peu de chance les autres titres sont mieux. ^^

En même temps les derniers Rhapsody m'avait aussi fait le même effet. Quant à savoir si on est tous lassés du style ou si c'est vraiment devenu pourri, je ne sais pas.

Et ben moi pas tant que ça, au final... Je les avais écoutés avec plaisir. Alors certes ça tourne sacrément en rond au final, mais il y avait toujours quelque chose de sympa...
Attendons de voir ce que donne l'autre partie de Rhapsody Of Faïah pour en être sûr...

Je reste curieux de ce que va proposer Rhapsody sans Turilli à la baguette. Peu de chance que ça me renverse, mais j'y jetterai une oreille attentive.
Par contre, en dehors du single qui n'a pas grand intérêt, j'ai pas du tout écouté Turilli avec son nouveau line-up et je m'en cogne :je pense avoir fait le tour depuis pas mal de temps de ce que le bonhomme peut proposer. |

" 'Some days ago my girlfriend Nadia received a phone call from Laurence, the wife of Dominique. I understood from Nadia’s tears that something terrible just happened…' says LUCA TURILLI. And adds: 'A river of blood and then the dramatic run to the hospital with Dominique almost dying for all the blood he shed. Three hours of surgery and the risk to lose the left hand definitely. I could simply not believe it…'
"Dominique injured himself with a circular saw while working at home. One wrong movement and the saw reached the center of his hand. After the complicated surgery and everyone around thinking it will be difficult for Dominique to play his beloved instrument once again, the doctors spent some more optimistic words to describe the situation, speaking about a long period of rehabilitation and some major problems eventually related to the thumb only. Therefore it seems there will be again the possibility for Dominique to play a guitar, and maybe sooner than what can be expected. What is needed is a lot of strength and mind power but everybody knows what represents the music for Dominique and so there is no doubt he will do miracles in this sense.
"All the members of RHAPSODY were just shocked for all what happened and of course the last days were not that easy for anyone of them, for the stress due to the tragic fact and for the problems related with the tour preparation. Right in relation with the upcoming tour, an important decision was taken: the one of not replacing Dominique with another guitar player but instead, as Luca arranged all the RHAPSODY songs for two guitars, to simply add Dominique’s parts on the backing tracks at lower volume. Mixed on the right side, as if he would be there.
"The bass player PATRICE GUERS states: ;Dominique for us is more than friend. He is a real brother and everybody knows how important was for him this first tour as official member of RHAPSODY. It is just not possible to replace him and we won’t do it! When Luca communicated this to Dominique, he almost shed some tears for the happiness, so much he appreciated this decision…'
"The new drummer ALEX LANDENBURG adds: 'No matter if it will take six months or one year to have Dominique back with us on stage. What is sure is that we’ll wait for him as he is a fundamental member of our band. Surely won’t be the same to go on stage without him!'
"The singer ALESSANDRO CONTI goes on: 'Every show of this tour will be dedicated to our brother. I know Dominique since some months only but I can tell you that I already love him for his talent and for being a man of great value.'
"LT’S RHAPSODY want to add that, due to the recent events and despite all the other band plans won’t be changed, the release of the new cinematic ballad FANTASIA GOTICA will be postponed after the tour. The new video of CLASH OF THE TITANS in its WALIKING DEAD REMIX version, instead, should be released next week as planned. In any case it is a matter of days.
