Il faut que j'avoue les avoir cru morts eux, je ne savais pas qu'ils tournaient encore.

From 1996 to 2002, Prong took a hiatus and Victor played with the likes of Rob Zombie and Glenn Danzig before re-surfacing in 2002. |

ASG sign to Relapse Records
Relapse Records is extremely proud to announce the signing of North Carolina’s finest psychedelic, stoner-punks ASG! Impossible to pigeonhole, ASG has been wheelin’ and dealin’ in kick-ass rock n’ roll since forming in 2001. The band has previously released four albums with including their most recent, critically acclaimed effort 'Win Us Over' in 2007. ASG has gained a reputation for their wildly energetic live shows, and has found themselves on the road with heavy-hitters Motörhead, The Sword, CKY, Fu Manchu, Torche and The Dwarves among others.
ASG plan to enter the studio in February 2012 to record their highly anticipated Relapse debut with producer Matt Hyde (Slayer, Children of Bodom, Fu Manchu). More details will be announced shortly. Additionally, the band has confirmed a string of Southern U.S. Dates in January plus a special appearance at next year’s Hellfest in France.
ASG Guitarist / Vocalist Jason Shi commented on the signing:
“To be part of such a well respected music label like Relapse and to be included in their roster of bands both past and present is quite an honor for us. We plan to record our first release on Relapse in the winter of 2012 with Matt Hyde and are very excited for everyone to hear it! We are amping!”
So grab a bong, crack open a ice cold 40 oz and get lost in the whiskey-soaked Southern melodies of ASG! Give them a listen here (http://pettingzoopropaganda.cmail2.com/t/r/l/ijurlhd/qjhikukdt/j/). _________________

FEHLER sign to HAMMERHEART RECORDS
HAMMERHEART RECORDS is proud to announce the signing of Dutch sludge metal band FEHLER.
FEHLER is a four-piece outfit from the southern part of the Netherlands featuring guitarist Twan van Geel (Legion of the Damned). Influenced by heavy weight bands such as Crowbar, Torche, Mastodon and High on Fire FEHLER produces a dark blend of ground shaking riffs, heavy rhythms and melodic, dissonant atmospheres with songs ranging from short and aggressive outbursts to sound-layered epics.
Additionally FEHLER announces the release of their full-length album 'DISSONA' via Hammerheart Records in the spring of 2012, featuring cover artwork created by COMAWORX (Deathspell Omega, Urfaust, Portal, Necrophagia).
Guido Heijnens A&R manager at HHR comments to the signing of FEHLER: "From the first moment I heard the unmixed version of “DISSONA” I knew this was a killer release. And after talking to the guys from FEHLER I was convinced they would work hard to get their name out there. One thing is sure though, the band’s name - which is German for mistake - is opposite to the feeling you get after hearing this monster of an album!!!"
FEHLER is available for interviews and live reports upon request. To speak with the band simply contact Jeroen Gelissen at Black Label Support, via any of the means listed at the bottom of this message.
Updated FEHLER news and album information will be made available at the Hammerheart website: www.hammerheart.com or the official FEHLER MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/wearefehler _________________

KAMELOT
- Sign recording contract with Steamhammer/SPV - New album due out in September 2012 -
- New vocalist to be announced end of June -
It’s a perfect coup: Kamelot, one of the most charismatic and distinguished metal bands worldwide have returned to the Steamhammer/SPV fold for a worldwide deal except Japan. The group surrounding guitarist and composer Thomas Youngblood is currently working on the drum recordings with renowned sound engineer Jim Morris at the Morrisound Studios in Tampa, Florida, before work on the album is due to be completed at Wolfsburg’s Gate studios under the direction of producer Sascha Paeth (Edguy, Avantasia, Rhapsody). The title of Kamelot’s current release will be announced at the end of June, together with the name of their new vocalist. However, according to Youngblood, one thing is certain: ““Our fans can really look forward to our new record, because it represents Kamelot in every way!”
Youngblood on the style and content of the concept album: “The new songs sound more symphonic and melodic than our last two studio recordings. The material brings to mind albums such as Karma (2001) and The Black Halo (2005). In addition, this will be the best production that Kamelot have ever delivered. Because while other acts tend to opt for low-budget productions due to the difficult market situation, we have gone the opposite way: the new album will be a real statement, in terms of our compositions as well as in terms of our sound.”
The eagerly awaited album has been scheduled for release on 24 September 2012 (Germany: 21 September 2012; US: 25 September 2012), and Kamelot are set to play a number of festivals (among them Wacken Open Air and Bang Your Head) as early as July and August before embarking on a US tour alongside Nightwish in September/October and a major headliner tour of Europe in November 2012.
“We are more than proud to welcome back one of the best metal bands around here at SPV. From 2005 to 2009 we had already the pleasure to work very successfully with Thomas Youngblood & Co, which we will continue and increase with the new masterpiece coming in September 2012” says Olly Hahn (A&R SPV/Steamhammer), and Thomas Youngblood is obviously happy with the resumption of this extremely successful cooperation: “Our new album marks another step and a new chapter for Kamelot and our amazing fans! We are very pleased to be working again with the entire SPV team on this very exciting release.” Andreas Rennmann of Brinkmann & Partner adds: "I´m absolutely proud to welcome Kamelot back at SPV. We all believe in the fantastic history of the band and are absolutely sure that this upcoming release will be one of the most successful albums!" _________________

Pas sûr que ça passionne les foules, mais allons-y :
Italy’s very own TOMBSTONE HIGHWAY is the newest member of the Agonia Records roster and a fresh addition to the label’s expanding profile. The band emerges from the muddy shores of The Po River in Piacenza and draws strong inspiration from the rural and folklore parts of its homeland. Their upcoming debut album is a classic blend of feisty Stoner/Southern Rock and Doom Metal, with catchy guitar solos and old-school heavy metal parts that may remind of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Corrison Of Conformity, Pride and Glory, Down, Black Sabbath, or even ZZ Top riffage. Apart from Hard Rock instruments, the band uses also a banjo and Hammond organs.
3 songs (raw and unmastered versions) from TOMBSTONE HIGHWAY can be heard at their Reverb Nation profile at: http://www.reverbnation.com/artist/artist_songs/1814120
The release date of the debut album entitled Ruralizer is scheduled for this Autumn. The band has issued the following statement with regards to the signing: We are pleased to announce that we signed with Agonia Records for the release of our first album 'Ruralizer'. We're very proud of how the album came out and we strongly believe it's the perfect way to begin our legacy. People into heavy, ballsy southern-tinged Hard Rock should take note!

King Diamond vient de signer chez Metal Blade.
KING DIAMOND has signed a new three-album worldwide deal with Metal Blade Records.
Commented the band's vocalist and namesake: "This is gonna be awesome! Another perfect piece of the puzzle. We have the full backup of Metal Blade, and there's an understanding between us that goes much, much deeper than before.
"Our new business setup will noticeably benefit the fans in so many ways. You must have already noticed some of all the cool new stuff that is happening. Now we can't wait to get out there and start touring again!"
After a six-year touring hiatus, KING DIAMOND triumphantly returned to the stage in 2012 for European festivals Hellfest and Sweden Rock.
In a March 2012 interview with the Swedish metal blog Bara Metal, King Diamond stated about what he did during his year-long break, "Well, we did keep up with people. A lot. We started a thing where… it's a Skype web site where people will sign up. And now and then I will call up fans and we talk. We have done that several times. We will call up three fans through that way, 'King Diamond is calling you,' and it could be one from Puerto Rico, one from Sweden, one from Scotland. We pick them randomly, but not the same person twice. Then we sit and talk for an hour. They can ask anything. They usually have a lot of question that are the same as the fans ask in the fan club, the Coven. So we get a lot of info out that way, and we upload it so other can listen to it. We are certainly in touch with our fans."
When asked if there are plans to release new music in 2013, King replied, "That is absolutely the plan. Something has to go totally wrong for us not to do that. We will write material this fall. Hopefully during the autumn, we might do something here in the U.S., after the festivals. But we will not be doing a long tour, it is still a test, we will see what happens. We do not want to take stupid chances, it has to be done properly. And we have a lot to do still, but things are looking good."
King, 56, underwent open-heart triple-bypass surgery in November 2010. He has since completed his cardiac rehabilitation program and has stopped smoking entirely, changed his diet and is getting regular exercise. |

The Steamhammer label is proud to announce that PRO-PAIN joins the ever growing SPV family for a worldwide deal.
A&R Steamhammer Olly Hahn says: "I already worked with Gary together in the 90s and it was a pleasure to see how dedicated he is for his band and the metal/hardcore family in general. PRO-PAIN stands always for energetic music and live performances and I´m looking forward to a new masterpiece in the fall 2013!"
Band leader and founder Gary Meskil states: "We are very happy and proud to be part of the SPV/ Steamhammer family! They have a long history of bringing quality thrash to the masses, and so we look forward to releasing some devastatingly brutal new music via this partnership".
Aggressive, meticulous, passionate, righteous - all distinguishing traits that have come to symbolize the fundamentals of metal/hardcore pioneers PRO-PAIN. Since their crushing 1992 NAIRD nominated debut album Foul Taste Of Freedom, PRO-PAIN have become a staple in the diets of heavy music listeners around the globe. Their successful and enviable career has perpetually prospered throughout its course, and yet they still manage to find room to improve, and more importantly, impress.
Formed by vocalist/bassist Gary Meskil (ex-Crumbsuckers), New York-based PRO-PAIN have over the years benefited from substantial support from an ever-growing and loyal fan base, the Metal Press, Hard Rock Radio, and MTV's Headbanger's Ball. With band mates Marshall Stephens (Rhythm Guitar), Adam Phillips (Lead Guitar) and Drummer Jonas Sanders, the band are set to tour Europe in February and March extensively with a new studio album expected for fall 2013.

NE OBLIVISCARIS SIGN TO Season of Mist!!
To say we're excited to join a roster that includes bands such as Cynic, Morbid Angel, Mayhem, Arcturus, The Contortionist, SÓLSTAFIR, Atheist, Samael, Deathspell Omega & many more is an understatement.
For us as a band, signing to Season of Mist, one of the best independent metal labels in the world, a label whose roster includes some of our all time favourite bands and influences, is quite surreal. We worked for many years to get our debut album 'Portal Of I' out there for the world to hear and for its reception to have been so overwhelmingly positive, and for a label like this to not only love our music, but believe we can go places in the worldwide metal scene is incredible. It is one of those things that just gives us even more motivation to keep composing and performing and trying to take NE OBLIVISCARIS as far as we can to as many people across the world as possible. We're currently in the middle of writing our next album with plans to record late 2013 and we can't wait to get it out there to the world and take that next step in partnership with Season of Mist. |

DARKHAUS sign worldwide deal with SPV
Debut album to be released in Fall 2013
Kenny Hanlon - vocals
Rupert Keplinger - guitars, synth
Marshall Stephens - guitars
Gary Meskil - bass
Paul Keller - drums
Enter DARKHAUS:
An Intercontinental Modern Rock outfit consisting of 5 men from 4 representative countries (Scotland, US, Germany, Austria).
Band maestro Rupert Keplinger is a multi-platinum songwriter/composer whom is best known for his collaborations with top selling artists such as Eisbrecher, Stephan Weidner, Oomph!, Peter Maffay and others.
DARKHAUS co-creator Gary Meskil (whom is also founder of legendary US hardcore band PRO-PAIN) describes their sound as "stylistically versatile, dark and emotional, but with much light to be found at the end of the proverbial tunnel".
The 5 architects of DARKHAUS combine their best efforts to present an ambitious and diverse plethora of songs which combine the urgency of true rock´n´roll, the epic moments which define great acts, and those "catchy hooks and melodies" like those which have been delivered straight to your ears via radio stations around the world throughout modern time.
For fans of emotionally inspired songwriting which has the power to move one's body, mind, and soul.
(the band from left to right: Marshall Stephens, Gero Herrde (A&R SPV GmbH), Kenny Hanlon, Rupert Keplinger, Gary Meskil, Paul Keller. Printable hi-res version attached.)
Says Gary Meskil: "I've always wanted to make music like this some day which is totally different from what I'm usually known for. Aside from Punk and Hardcore, I grew up with bands like The Cure, Siouxsie And The Banshees, Bauhaus and Depeche Mode - and those left a mark on me. With DARKHAUS, I can finally make it happen!"
SPV A&R Gero Herrde: "Not only has every single member of DARKHAUS already proven their musical capabilities and skills - it's the mixture of characters combined with the ambition to produce music that is totally opposed to what they did earlier. Oblivion/Steamhammer (SPV) is the perfect home for this. We're glad to be able to work this."
The DARKHAUS album debut will be released in Fall 2013 on Oblivion/Steamhammer (SPV).

Soulfly a signé chez Nuclear Blast
The fallout from last year’s massive layoffs at Roadrunner Records continues. Max Cavalera’s Soulfly has signed with Nuclear Blast Entertainment, and ”will enter the studio this month to begin recording their as-of-yet-untitled ninth studio album” with producer Terry Date, according to a press release.
The signing would newsworthy regardless because of Cavalera’s stature in the metal world, but it’s especially interesting given that this will mark the first time he’s released an album on a label other than Roadrunner in twenty-six years, since Sepultura’s Schizophrenia in 1987. All subsequent Sep albums of the Max era, all Soulfly albums, Nailbomb albums, and both Cavalera Conspiracy albums have come out on Roadrunner — seventeen releases in all.
Not that it’s really shocking that Cavalera is going to Nuclear Blast Entertainment: this is, after all, the newish division of Nuclear Blast formed by overall NB owner Markus Staiger and former Roadrunner A&R guru Monte Conner, a.k.a. “the dude who signed Sepultura to Roadrunner in the first place and has been Max’s A&R guy ever since.” These guys obviously go way back — in fact, when I did a Google image search to try and find a photo of them together, guess what came up?
That’s Conner on the far left and Roadrunner founder and former CEO Cees Wessels right next to him at Max and Gloria Cavalera’s wedding in 1992. In other words Cavalera is going where his longtime friend is. Makes perfect sense!

EAT THE GUN
Trio from Münster sign worldwide deal with Steamhammer/SPV
New album Stripped To The Bone out in November 2013
Steamhammer/SPV are delighted to announce their signing of the trio, Eat The Gun. Only a few days ago, the musicians Hendrik Wippermann (vocals, guitar), Gereon Homann (drums) and new addition Peter Bergmüller (bass) finished working on the ten songs of their fourth studio album Stripped To The Bone and are now looking forward to release the new single "Loner" in October and the album in November 2013. “Steamhammer/SPV have always been our favourite label, not least because of Motörhead, so we’re really happy to be working with Olly Hahn and his excellent team from now on,” comments Hendrik Wippermann. “We can hardly wait to hold the new CD with the legendary Steamhammer/SPV logo in our hands. Definitely a magical moment for us.”
Eat The Gun got together in 2002, have released the studio albums Cross Your Fingers (2006), Super Pursuit Mode Aggressive Thrash Distortion (2009) and RUNNER (2011) and made the top ten of the German DJ Metal/Rock Charts for eight weeks in 2009 and the Top 20 of the American college radio charts in 2011. The band has played more than 650 concerts to date, inspiring fans at the Taubertal Festival, the Big Day Out and the Wacken Open Air and appearing alongside acts such as Die Toten Hosen, HIM, Danko Jones, Duff McKagan, Donots, Mustasch, Backyard Babies and Hardcore Superstar.
For Steamhammer/SPV’s A&R manager Olly Hahn, the signing of Eat The Gun marks a special moment, too: “I have been watching this band for some time and am really impressed with their latest material. Every time I hear the songs I can’t suppress a big grin. We and the band’s many fans are guaranteed to have lot of fun with Stripped To The Bone this coming November.” _________________
