Manowar va s'y mettre avec un double-album (qui sortira en 2 volets, sinon c'est pas drôle) : on aura les reprises de Manowar plus celles d'une enfilade de groupes de 53ème zone signés sur le label de DeMaio.

But the thing was he was so gracious, classy and downright cool! Then he proceeds to tell me about this guy that was travelling with their genius technician Dawk Stillwell. His name was Joey DeMaio and he plays bass like you never heard and that I should meet him. Well, right after the conversation, he introduces me to Joey and I guess the rest is metal history!

Un concert caritatif organisé par Axel Rudi Pell aura lieu dans un mois.
"I'm working on a Ronnie James Dio tribute show in Bochum, with some friends of mine. July 12th, it's for charity. One half of the income will go to Ronnie's Stand Up And Shout Cancer fund and the other half will go to a German cancer fund. I think it will be good to help keep his memory alive. I just got a reply from Doogie White (ex-RAINBOW). He will be part of it." |

Heaven & Hell Announce One Off Show
A Tribute To Ronnie James Dio At High Voltage Festival, Saturday 24th July 2010
Proceeds to be donated to the Ronnie James Dio “Stand Up And Shout” Cancer Fund
The surviving members of Heaven And Hell will play Classic Rock’s High Voltage festival with special guest vocalists, as a tribute to their late frontman Ronnie James Dio.
On May 16, Dio passed away and the world mourned the loss of the greatest voice of heavy metal.
Heaven And Hell were set to be on the road in Europe this summer when news came through that despite the amazing progress he was making Ronnie wouldn’t be well enough to tour and those shows were cancelled.
But now, remaining members Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice are set to play a one-off show to celebrate Dio’s life and work at Classic Rock’s High Voltage festival.
The band will be completed by Glenn Hughes and Jorn Lande, who will both contribute vocals.
Former Deep Purple/Black Sabbath star Glenn Hughes was a close friend of Ronnie’s for many years and performed a musical tribute at Ronnie’s funeral service in Los Angeles.
Norwegian Jorn Lande is best known in the UK as the vocalist for power-metal band Masterplan; he has also released many solo albums including a tribute to Ronnie.
Heaven And Hell bassist Geezer Butler says:
“It’s going to be a very emotional occasion. Ronnie loved his fans like no one else I know – and they loved him. It will be a privilege doing a gig in honour of his memory, and to help towards his charity. Above all, I hope it encourages people to have regular check-ups for this disease. Early detection is vital, and greatly improves the chance of a cure. I know everyone has heard that a million times before, but seeing one of your best friends die because we all think we’re immune from this disease, really brings it home. Do it for yourself, your family, your friends. Ronnie would be proud of you.”
Guitarist Tony Iommi adds:
“Ronnie’s passing has left a huge hole, we hadn’t anywhere near finished what we set out to do as a band together. He was so looking forward to the European tour and we hope this appearance will go some way to fulfilling that.” |

Le gros concert-hommage avec plein de gens, je crois avoir lu quelque part qu'ils en ont prévu un pour 2011, celui-là serait qu'un échauffement, du coup (faudrait que je retrouve la source).
Sinon, il y a le mec de Wuthering Heights aussi qui sonne exactement comme Dio, mais je crois que personne le connait dans le milieu (faut dire que le groupe donne 5 concerts par an devant 3 mecs bourrés). |
