London Hard rockers New Device were nominated this week for best new band by classic Rock Roll Of Honour awards.

The nominations for the 2009 Classic Rock Roll Of Honour were exclusively unveiled today by legends of rock parody Spinal Tap. The band took time out of rehearsals for their show at Wembley Stadium next week to announce the shortlists for the 6 public voted categories at a media launch in Hard Rock Cafe’s backstage Hard Rock Calling VIP garden in Hyde Park, London. The winners will be announced at the gala ceremony, which takes place Monday 2 November at the Park Lane Hotel.

Sheffield metallers BRING ME THE HORIZON have announced JONA WEINHOFEN, formerly of BLEEDING THROUGH and I KILLED THE PROM QUEEN as their permanent replacement to departed guitarist Curtis Ward, who left the band in March 2009.

Australian Jona Weinhofen has been filling in on guitar for the UK band over their European festival run after himself leaving Californian metal band BLEEDING THROUGH in May 2009. The two parties have been friends since BMTH and Australian Metalcore outfit I KILLED THE PROM QUEEN (whom Jona was lead guitarist and co-vocalist for at the time) toured Australia and the UK together in 2007 and 2008.

BMTH have said that they are “stoked” to have Jona on board and are looking forward to incorporating his unique playing and writing styles on a permanent basis. Jona said this week : “The shows so far with BMTH have been some of the best touring experiences I have ever had in my life and I’m looking forward to many more awesome shows and tours with the band.”

Jona plays Caparison Guitars (TAT II and Angelus custom models), EMG 81 pickups, Peavey 6505 Guitar amps and Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier Amps and Cabs.

BRING ME THE HORIZON head to Germany to play WACKEN at the end of this month, then are off to Japan to play SUMMERSONIC, then back to Belgium and The Netherlands for more festivals. The band will also be co-headlining the Festival Republic Stage at READING and LEEDS Festivals in the UK in August.

The band have very recently announced a Scandinavian and Mainland European club tour, as well as adding 4 more dates (Bristol, Portsmouth, Newcastle, Leeds) to their eagerly anticipated UK tour in October/November.

BMTH will also be heading to the US for the fifth time and have just announced a full co headline US tour with legendary American Metalcore act EVERY TIME I DIE on the EPITAPH TOUR Sept 8th – Oct 11th 2009.

Candlelight Records has just completed its third label packaged tour for North America, which featured Philadelphia thrashers RUMPELSTILTSKIN GRINDER and support from Los Angeles-based SOTHIS. The tour visited 21 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada, which began in San Marcos, California and unexpectedly ended in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on June 27. ABSU's scheduled Ft. Worth, TX performance on Monday, June 29 was canceled due to the band's tour bus breaking down outside of Baton Rouge, LA. The concert will be rescheduled for later this summer and all tickets for the canceled show will be honored for the new date or refunded at the point of purchase.

PROSCRIPTOR comments on the tour: “For not touring in 12 years, I must admit I was extremely pleased with not only the tour, but overall turnout for all the performances. However, I am still a bit disappointed the original bands that were initially included on the tour (DESTROYER 666, AVERSE SEFIRA & GLORIOR BELLI) dropped off, which would have made the tour stronger, but still pleased. At least we successfully conveyed our message of mythological occult metal across the North American terrain – mission accomplished.”

Norwegian five piece SUSPERIA are currently working on a new video for the song 'Character Flaw' with up and coming Director / Producer Daniel William Bones. Filming has already taken place in Oslo last month and the footage is now being edited.The performance video will continue the apocalyptic theme featured in the artwork on the bands latest album 'Attitude, which was released through Candlelight Records in May.

'Attitude' is SUSPERIA's fifth studio album which was recorded in Norway and was mixed at Studio Fredman in Sweden. It features guest appearances by Chuck Billy (TESTAMENT) and Shagrath (DIMMU BORGIR).

Band vocalist Athera made his return to live action in June at the Steinkjer Festival in Norway The singer, who earlier this year suffered a heart attack which resulted in major open heart surgery, has made a rapid recovery and doctors gave him the go-ahead to make his comeback. Regional newspaper Trønder-Avisa posted performance footage and an interview with Athera from the festival. Watch the Norwegian-language report at this location. SUSPERIA will be announcing details of upcoming shows shortly.

MARIONETTE Post Two New Songs From Enemies Online

Gothenburg based metal sextet MARIONETTE has made the songs “Through Veils” and “The Swine” available on the band’s official Myspace Page. “The Swine” and “Through Veils” come from Enemies the band’s sophomore release due out on Listenable Records in Europe in the first week of October.

MARIONETTE lead guitarist and backing vocalist Aron Parmerud recently described Enemies as a monumental evolutionary step from the debut album Spite. “Unlike the recording process of Spite we recorded Enemies over a period of months, and we have had plenty of time to try new things in the studio to make the album absolutely insane. Every element that you heard on Spite has been taken to the extreme. At the same time, there is a clear evolution from Spite to Enemies. All of the live experience we have had while touring has made us more skillful as individual musicians and tighter as a band. All this will reflect itself on Enemies when it is in your hands this fall!”

Enemies, the follow up to MARIONETTE’s debut album Spite, was recorded with a team of up-and-coming as well as established names in Swedish music including Pontus Hjelm (DEAD BY APRIL) and two-time Swedish Grammis award winning producer and songwriter Åke Parmerud. The album was mixed and mastered by Fredrik Nordström (IN FLAMES, AT THE GATES, BRING ME THE HORIZON) at Studio Fredman and Peter In De Betou (DIMMU BORGIR, ZONARIA) at Tailor Maid respectively in May 2009.

Le plus dur dans cette rupture, c'était pas tant l'effacer de ma vie, c'était surtout effacer les 4 To de film porno qu'on avait tourné tous les deux. Multicam, 1080p, son 5.1...
