RANDY BLYTHE GIVES FIRST INTERVIEW SINCE INCARCERATION
Czech news outlet Blesk.cz has published the first interview with Lamb of God singer Randy Blythe since his arrest on suspicion of manslaughter nearly three weeks ago. He’s currently being held in Prague until at least Thursday while a court decides whether to uphold his bail, which has been posted. During the interview, Randy comes out as thoughtful and respectful of the Czech legal system, even if he’s not sure why he’s being held. We took some liberties with the translation, so our apologies if we’re garbling any of the language.
What happened during the incident at the club during the Lamb of God concert at Abaton in 2010?
“I do not know about any incident. [I don't remember], because I have a lot of concerts. Just remember that the club [had] a small stage, which barely fit [the band[. Also, apparently there was a security guard because many people climbed onto the stage. I think that one small boy in particular, but I could be confused with other clubs. Since the concert I have [gotten] glasses, but then I saw very little more than outlines details. In any case, I did not attack anyone. The only way that could have happened was if I came into contact with the audience, was defending myself from someone unpredictable.
How do you spend time in custody with other inmates?
“I read, I write letters to friends, family, and am also writing a diary. I’m getting along well with the other inmates, and am even trying to learn Mongolian. I’m starting to write a book about Pankrác prison and write lyrics. ”
Do you have reservations about the work of the Czech police and justice in your case?
“As for the police, I believe that it is very professional and [they're following] the principles of good conduct. But in terms of justice,frankly I do not understand because it is different than the U.S.. I thought that if the group folds on bail, I’ll be released. Definitely do not understand how my case may be qualified as is, since our goal is to satisfy the audience that they liked the show and not be discouraged. ”
On Wednesday, you met your wife. Do you feel support from your family and fans?
My meeting with my beautiful wife was beautiful and encouraging. I have received messages and support from family, my friends from the group, who are all missing me, and I can not wait to see them all.
Assuming you make bail and get to freedom, what are your future plans?
If I go back to the U.S., I have to mow the lawn, spend some time with family and plunge back into performing, so I can pay for legal services and earn money so that we can live decently. If I’d had to stay in the Czech Republic, I would look at the sights, especially in Prague. I find, where Kafka went, and I will eat dumplings.

Bassist Matt Camacho has left San Francisco Bay Area metallers FORBIDDEN. In addition, the band's singer, Russ Anderson, has decided to take a break from the music business.
Commented FORBIDDEN guitarist Craig Locicero: "I am extremely saddened to have to announce that our bassist and brother since 1986, Matt Camacho, has decided to retire from the music business and leave FORBIDDEN permanently.
"For those that know and love Matt, this may be a shock to you. Matt's always been gung-ho for the band since the beginning and was a positive guy. But ever since he went to law school after FORBIDDEN split up the first time, he was on a career path that would eventually take him to this day. His job position keeps getting better and taking care of our families is the most important thing.
"With that being said, Russ Anderson has made the decision to take a break away from music to get his bearings back and rekindle his fire for FORBIDDEN. Russ is not quitting, but has decided that he needs to do this for himself. We support him and his decision to not fake his way through what needs to be real.
"I had always said since we reformed in 2008, that as soon as things become tedious or a grind we'd either stop doing this or take a break. But we'd never say never again! FORBIDDEN is not through yet. Russ simply needs to recharge his thrash metal batteries!
"So then there is the unfortunate reality that under these circumstances FORBIDDEN will not be appearing at the Wacken Open Air festival this year. This breaks my heart as much as anything else! Steve [Smyth, guitar], Sasha [Horn, drums] and myself were very much looking forward to playing in front of that crowd and we had been holding out hope for Russ to change his mind. But he feels strongly that he just can't do it right now. So we must respect his wishes and let him have his space.
"We'd like to apologize to our fans, Continental Concerts, the Wacken Open Air organizers and everyone at Nuclear Blast Europe. You've all stood by us for so long and we understand how bad the fans in Europe want to see FORBIDDEN again. But you deserve to see FORBIDDEN at its best. Not under these circumstances.
"This is our promise to you we'll come back with stronger and with new material! We've already got half of the new record written and we'll finish it up when Russ feels good enough to thrash it up again!
"Thanks to you all from the bottom of our hearts..." |

C'est clair. Et dans le fond j'espère secrètement quelque chose de mieux que Oath Bound (pas mauvais mais en dessous de Let The Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame par exemple).

Le dévédé contiendra un nouveau morceau, mais faut pas espérer d'album :

No, we didn’t try anything, but of course we had the question of, “Are we going to record something new?” I think Tommy would be up for it as well as Ron but we don’t want to do it for several reasons but for me it’s okay to do just one song that we can put on the DVD.

I have been more than surprised. Yes, that’s absolutely the case. Also, I was surprised to see all these clips you can see on You Tube and people discussing this. I was like, “Wow! They didn’t forget us.” I thought after five years we were away and just a few would go like, “Yeah, there was a band called Coroner or something like that.” “Yeah, Coroner!” So it was a big surprise and I am very happy. It’s very touching. It’s cool.
You mentioned last night that after this year, you are finished.
I think so, yeah, because on one point there are no more shows we can play, I guess. Maybe there’s going to be a couple of shows next year or something but basically that’s it.
Et pendant ce temps-là, Dream Theater continue à faire des disques. Il y a pas de justice.  |

Toute ma jeunesse 
On les avait vus au Club Dunois à Paris.
J'avais dessiné pour l'occasion 2 t-shirts sur le thème de leur morbide triskel et Tommy nous avait interpelé pour nous demander "where did you buy those?  ". Etant pd du cul, je l'avais regardé comme un demeuré et mon pote avait répondu à ma place.

Edit : et pi ces 3 mecs arrivent à faire plus de bruit que les 7 retraités de Maiden réunis!
