Greetings to All!
Let me begin by saying that the 3 re-issues: THE MARRIAGE OF HEAVEN & HELL PART 1, THE MARRIAGE OF HEAVEN & HELL PART II and INVICTUS, have all been re-mastered and are ready to go. The bonus tracks for the two "Marriage" albums are also ready to go, and the full 79 minute new Bonus Album...called "GHOST HARVEST"-(The Spectral Vintage Sessions), and which is to be included inside the INVICTUS re-issue, is also finished and ready to go right now, and could be issued at any point from tomorrow onward. These Works have been ready to go for some time already now. We have not posted a definitive official release date for all these albums yet because we have not yet received the official word from the label regarding such.
A brief history: The albums were originally planned to be released last October, and then they were moved back in the schedule for a February release. Now we are awaiting the final word about a release for sometime between the end of March and May. As I stated above...these Works have all been completed. At the present time we are just waiting on SPV.
A positive benefit to these delays is that the Group has been able to spend some more time on things like...re-mastering, & mixing, and the end result has proven stronger. Meanwhile work is going forward on the next new album for which it is hoped the label will release in September. Work also continues on a few other special releases that we expect to see the light of day later this year. I believe that there will be more information forthcoming in the next interviews that appear on the Official Site.
We thank you kindly for your great support & patience and we will most definitely post the official release date for all of the above as soon as it has been officially confirmed to us by SPV.

Les réeditions de VIRGIN STEELE c'est du gros délire, je n'ai jamais vu ça. Y'a plus de bonus track que de titres originaux et Defeis a même la manie d'y rajouter des nouveaux titres composés pour l'occasion, souvent meilleur que les dernières bouses qu'il a sorti.
Une bonne remasterisation en ferait pas mal à ces albums, ils sonnent tellement plats et synthétiques que je n'arrive jamais vraiment à m'y plonger. Je préfère du coup les albums des 80's. |

It has been some time coming but guitarist Per ‘Sodomizer’ Eriksson and Katatonia have now mutually agreed to part ways. Per joined the band in 2010 as a live session player and after some substantial touring quickly became a steady fixture being heavily involved in the recording of Katatonia’s 2012 critically acclaimed studio album ‘Dead End Kings’.
A difference in views on the band’s current operative as well as last year’s decision from Per to permanently live in Barcelona have made his involvement in the band too problematic, both for him and for the remaining band members. They part ways as good friends and on a related note, his position within the death metal “super-group” Bloodbath remains unchanged and he will soon join his fellow band members in the studio to record their 4th album to be released on Peaceville records this fall.
Katatonia’s upcoming ‘Dethroned & Uncrowned’ Tour will go ahead as scheduled and will see none other than Bruce Soord (The Pineapple Thief, Wisdom of Crowds) as a special guest taking on guitar and vocal duties. |

Long-running Scottish icons NAZARETH have announced that singer Linton Osborne will replace Dan McCafferty who stepped down last August due to health issues.
A band statement reads: "After extensive auditions, the band was knocked out by Linton’s voice, presence and style. And he’s a thoroughly good guy! Born in Edinburgh, Scotland and raised in Rosyth near Dunfermline, 41-year-old Linton has been singing and performing professionally for as long as he can remember. A long time fan of Nazareth and Dan McCafferty, on his selection as Nazareth’s new singer Linton simply says, 'It’s better than winning the lottery!'
As well as a passion for rock ‘n’ roll and singing, Linton also enjoys kickboxing and likes to stay in shape. His enthusiasm and energy has been a shot in the arm for the band, and a real boost after the keen sense of loss and sadness at the sudden retirement of our dear friend and brother, Dan.
Dan was pleased to hear that Linton, a ‘local lad’, had been chosen to follow in his footsteps. The two singers have met and get on very well. It seems that they have a lot in common, not least a love for old time rock ‘n’ roll, with the legendary Little Richard being a firm favorite of them both. Dan was heartfelt in expressing his feelings toward Linton and the band, wishing them good luck, safe travels and success in the future. We love you Dan.

Lamb of God est un groupe de métal américain formé en 1990 à Richmond en Virginie. A ce jour, le groupe a vendu plus de deux millions d'albums, reçu 2 DVD de platine et ont été désignés pour quatre Grammy Awards. As The Palace Burn est un long métrage documentaire qui à l'origine a cherché à suivre le groupe et ses fans à travers le monde , pour montrer comment la musique nous relie au delà des nationalités, religions ou opinions politiques. C'est vers la fin du tournage que le documentaire a pris un tournant inattendu: Randy Blythe, chanteur du groupe fut arrêté en République Tchèque et accusé du meurtre d'un fan en juin 2012. Le réalisateur Don Argott a donc filmé les 28 jours d'incarcération à Prague de Randy Blythe, sa sortie de prison et le retour du groupe sur scène, ainsi que le procès qui eu lieu à Prague en février 2013. |

Universal Music has announced the deluxe release of DEEP PURPLE's seminal live album "Made In Japan" in multiple formats on May 19.
"Made In Japan" was recorded live over three nights during August 15–17, 1972 at Festival Hall, Osaka and Budokan, Tokyo. Four of the tracks come from the band's 1972 "Machine Head" album. It featured what many consider the classic DEEP PURPLE lineup — Ian Gillan (vocals), Ritchie Blackmore (guitar), Roger Glover (bass), Jon Lord (organ) and Ian Paice (drums). Originally recorded only for the Japanese market, the album has since become seen as one of DEEP PURPLE's seminal albums, and one of the greatest live albums of all time (A Rolling Stone magazine readers poll in 2012 voted "Made In Japan" as the sixth greatest live album of all time).

Omnibus Press has set a May 1 U.S. release date (March 17 in the U.K.) for the 256-page paperback "Know Your Enemy: The Story Of Rage Against The Machine" from Joel McIver, the British author whose other other works include biographies of BLACK SABBATH, SLAYER, ICE CUBE and QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE.
Says McIver: "I'm delighted to announce the imminent appearance on bookshelves of 'Know Your Enemy', my biography of RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE.
"I've wanted to write a RAGE book for some years now, but felt that the story needed to wait until the band's glory years are behind them, as they now almost certainly are. A natural peak came in 2009 and 2010 with the 'X-Factor'-slaying 'Killing In The Name' and the Victory show in London, and I was lucky enough to have the organiser Jon Morter help out with that side of RAGE's fairly insane tale. Elsewhere in the book, I enlisted the help of several learned writers and academics to illuminate the various sociopolitical issues which RAGE address in their music and offstage activism, making 'Know Your Enemy' rather different from the usual rock yarn. I even got guitarist Tom Morello's blessing to write it, although the band themselves declined to be involved.

XENTRIX previously reunited with their original lineup in 2006 for a two gigs in their home country.
XENTRIX released four albums on Roadrunner Records: "Shattered Existence" (1989), "For Whose Advantage" (1990), "Dilute to Taste" (1991) and "Kin" (1992). They also issued "Scourge" (1996) on Heavy Metal Records with Simon Gordon on vocals and Andy Rudd on guitar.
